Solar thermal or solar PV?
They are different technologies and they answer different questions. Solar thermal heats water directly and is very efficient at doing that one job. Solar PV generates electricity you can use for anything — lighting, appliances, an EV charger or a heat pump. We install both, so we have no reason to push you towards one.

Frequently asked questions
Are you MCS certified for solar thermal?
No. We are not MCS certified for solar thermal installations. Our MCS accreditation (NIC601962) covers our heat pump work. If MCS certification is a requirement for your project we will tell you that up front.
Can solar thermal work with my existing cylinder?
Sometimes, if the cylinder has a spare coil. More often a twin-coil cylinder is needed. We survey the existing system and tell you which applies.
Do you maintain existing solar thermal systems?
Yes. We also maintain and repair existing systems, including those we did not install.
