Carbon factors: gas 0.183, oil 0.247, LPG 0.214, grid electricity 0.207 kg CO₂e per kWh (UK government greenhouse gas conversion factors). What you may be entitled to
- Boiler Upgrade Scheme — £7,500. For an air source heat pump. Paid to the installer and deducted from your quotation. Only an MCS accredited installer can make the application — ours is NIC601962.
- Air-to-air systems — £2,500. Often the right answer for a property with no gas supply.
- 0% VAT. 0% VAT on qualifying energy-saving installations — heat pumps and solar included.
- ECO4. Cannot be judged from the answers above — eligibility depends on household income and benefits received, not on the property. See the qualifying criteria in our grants guide.
