EV Charger Installation in Southampton & Hampshire
We are an approved Electric Vehicle Charging installer with myenergi.com and an NICEIC Approved Contractor, so the charger, the supply and the certification are all handled by one team. If you already have solar PV — or are planning it — we can set the charger up to prioritise your own generation rather than grid import.

Charger options
The right charger depends on your supply, your parking arrangement and whether you have — or want — solar.
- 3.6 kW — suitable where the supply is limited or the mileage is low
- 7 kW — the standard single phase home charger, a full charge overnight
- Smart and solar-diverting chargers such as myenergi zappi, which can charge from surplus solar rather than the grid
- Tethered or untethered, wall or post mounted

Solar and EV together
Charging an electric car from your own roof is the single highest-value thing you can do with solar generation, because you are displacing petrol rather than a low export tariff. Because we install solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers, we design the three as one system.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my consumer unit upgraded for an EV charger?
Sometimes. It depends on the spare capacity and the protective devices in your existing board. We assess it as part of the survey and tell you before you commit — and if it is needed, we do it ourselves.
Can the charger use my solar power?
Yes, with a solar-diverting charger. It monitors your export and diverts surplus generation into the car instead of sending it to the grid.
Are you approved by a charger manufacturer?
We are an approved Electric Vehicle Charging installer with myenergi.com.
